Disk Storage
Disk space is the amount of space allotted to your web hosting account. This space is used to store your html files, graphics, audio/video files, e-mails, database and any other files that may make up your web site. With AtlasImage you benefit from having 1000 MB of disk space with our Universal plan - enough space to publish any type of web site.
However, if your site will have many multimedia files or other heavy-duty content, consider using our Business plan. It gives you 10 000 MB of disk space and the freedom to grow without having to worry about space constraints.
Data Transfer
Our Universal plan comes with 20 GB (gigabytes) monthly traffic free-of-charge. Sites that go over their bandwidth limit are charged $5 per each additionally generated GB. If you need more bandwidth, consider our Business plan: its 200 GB/mo. traffic allowance should meet the requirements of almost any site. The charge for additional bandwidth with the Business plan is only $3 per each additionally generated GB.
Free Subdomains
Subdomains are individual Web addresses built upon a pre-existing domain name, e.g. sub.example.com. For example, if you wish to have a separate web site for your sales department, you could create a subdomain called sales.example.com. This way the URL of your sales web site will look more professional and thus add to the total competence of your web presence.
With AtlasImage you can have as many subdomains as you need. We offer up to 15 subdomains as part of our Universal hosting plan and 150 for our Business plan. If you need more, there is a small one-time fee of $5 per additional subdomain for the Universal plan or $3 for the Business plan.
MySQL Databases
We offer MySQL support with all our packages. Ten MySQL databases are included with our Universal plan, and 100 with our Business plan. You can manage your MySQL databases through the online phpMyAdmin Database Manager, found in the Control Panel.
We have two different versions of MySQL running on all our servers - 4 and 5. Each of them is regularly updated to the latest version in the branch whenever a new version is released by the MySQL developers. We also offer a conversion tool, that lets you easily transform your MySQL 4 database into a MySQL 5 database.
Domain Parking
When you have a domain parked on your account it will act the same way as your primary domain. It will show the same site and any e-mail sent to the parked domain will be delivered to the mailboxes you already have for the primary domain.
So for example if you have example.com, example.net and example.org, and need all of them to open your Web site, domain parking may be the right solution for you.
With our Universal plan you can have up to five additional domains parked at your primary domain. If you need to have more parked domains, consider our Business plan, where 50 domain parking slots are available.
FTP Subaccounts
With FTP sub-accounts you can allow other people to manage certain areas of your site without providing them with your account login information.
With our Universal plan you can have up to 15 FTP sub-accounts. If you need more, consider our Business hosting plan, where 150 FTP sub-accounts are available.
Webmail
Each AtlasImage account comes with a complete Webmail solution, so you can check your e-mail anytime, anywhere.
Your mailbox has its own address book, basic and advanced e-mail filters, as well as multi-language e-mail support. You can view, compose, forward, save, and edit your messages, as well as set privacy options, and customize most other features.
The address of your online Webmail is easy to remember - just add "/webmail" after your domain name, such as http://www.example.com/webmail. Enter your e-mail account username and password, and you are ready to go!
FTP Access
You may use your favorite FTP program to upload and download files anytime from anywhere. You can also set an FTP account for each subdomain you have.
SMTP, POP3, IMAP SERVERS
SMTP:
Our SMTP servers allow you to send e-mail from you@yourdomain.com. Bear in mind that the SMTP server is using the POP-before-SMTP authentication method. What this means for you is that you will always have to log into the incoming mail server (POP3/IMAP) before being able to send through the outgoing mail server.
POP3:
POP3 is the most common and most widely used protocol for retrieving e-mail messages. All e-mail clients (Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Thunderbird, etc.) support the POP3 protocol. It is also fully supported by our servers, with the added capability of using APOP (Authenticated POP), which allows you to transmit your password securely.
IMAP:
Our IMAP server will permit your "client" e-mail program (e.g. Eudora, Outlook) to access remote messages stored as if they were local. For example, e-mail stored on an IMAP server can be accessed from a desktop computer at home, a workstation at the office, and a notebook computer while traveling, without the need to transfer messages or files back and forth between these computers.
UNIX-Based
Our servers are running a heavily-customized version of Red Hat Linux, one of the most stable server operating systems available.
Online Control Panel
Our in-house developed online Control Panel allows you to manage every feature of your hosting account. Following are some (not all) of the options available to you:
- Update your contact information.
- Upload and edit files online.

With your AtlasImage website you can create a custom 404 error page for your visitors. This can help you retain visitors who may leave if they get the standard "File not found" page. With a little customization, you can make your 404 page consistent with your site design and much more informative, and provide your visitors with the chance to navigate to other places in your site.
ERL, PHP5, PHP4, Python, Ruby and TCL

Spam Protection
Spam is a nuisance for all of us, and for some it causes serious and costly disruptions to their Web enterprises. At AtlasImage, we are not sitting around letting the spammers call the shots.
Your first line of attack are our mail filters, which selectively bounce messages, based on the content of an e-mail’s headers. For more power, use SpamAssassin to scan your incoming mail and determine the probability of a mail message being spam. Enabling SpamAssassin globally makes it process any message sent to your domain, while enabling it per-user will make it scan only the messages destined for a particular mailbox.
Anti-Virus Protection
E-mail transmitted worms and viruses have recently become quite a problem not only for users around the world, but for Internet Service Providers as well. Here at AtlasImage we employ a simple but very powerful anti-virus solution. When enabled, the anti-virus software will scan all incoming messages. In case viruses are found, the server will not deliver the infected messages to the user's mailbox. The anti-virus software is disabled by default, and can be enabled from the Mail Manager in the online Control Panel.

Personal CGI Bin
CGI (which is a protocol that stands for Common Gateway Interface) is used to accomplish tasks, such as the operation of a hit counter or guestbook, that are not supported by basic HTML. To run these functions you need to place your CGI scripts in the CGI-bin directory located in your Control Panel. This directory is set up with special permissions to execute CGI scripts.
Password Protected Directories
Our fully automated password protection feature allows you to protect directories in your hosting account. You can do this via our easy to use online control panel, by simply clicking a button. Just choose the directory you would like to protect, and then create a user and a password... that's it!
Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
SSL is a protocol that uses encryption to safeguard the transmission of sensitive data. Compatible with all modern browsers, it is wise to use SSL when you process credit card transactions on your website, or when you have password-protected areas of your site.
At AtlasImage, your site visitors will be able to connect through SSL using a shared security certificate. If you wish to install a personal security certificate (dedicated to your domain only), you need to purchase one from a certificate authority. Our fee to install a personal security certificate is $30 per year.
Server Side Includes (SSI)
Our servers support Server Side Includes (SSI), a method of calling code from within a page. SSI makes it possible for you to include a snippet of HTML code into a page or a group of pages. When you want to change the code, you simply change it in one place, and then all the other pages are updated automatically.
Graphical Hit Counter
Our hit counters can be installed on as many pages as you choose at no extra charge. Plus, the code is generated for you automatically, so you just place it on your Web page and you are ready to go.

Can Host ANY Domain
We can host any domain name extension. Just register your Web site name and set the DNS servers for it to the ones we will give you, or use your own DNS servers and set up a zone to point to our server's IP address.
WAP Support
WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) is a specification for a set of communication protocols to standardize the way that wireless devices, such as cellular telephones and PDA devices, can be used for accessing information over the internet.
Our servers are configured to handle applications and scripts that deliver WAP content.
Website Statistics
The Site Statistics feature found in your Control Panel gives you access to statistics about your Web site, such as hits, visits, etc. Site Statistics are updated once every 24 hours. You can choose basic statistics offered by Webalizer (this is the default setting) or more detailed statistics through AWStats.
